Craigslist Ride of the Day – 1996 Mustang GT Convertible

Posted in Uncategorized on September 26, 2008 by lmdiorio

Well 90210 is back on the air and this car reminded me of Brandon Walsh.  Do you remember when Brandon was working at the Beach Club and he bought that postit note 60’s Mustand Covertible and then during the college years he upgraded to the Black Mustang GT Convertible?  Steve Sanders always had the Corvette, Dylan had the sweet Classic Porsche and David Silver had the Land Rover Defender.  Ah – my youth.

Regrets, No Regrets? Which is it?

Posted in Uncategorized on September 15, 2008 by lmdiorio

I have no regrets….yeah right.  I have plenty regrets despite the fact that some advice ends with the quip – “no regrets.”  I had some experiences this past weekend that had me dwelling on some of the things that I regret doing/not doing over the last few years – namely the last three.  A little over three years ago my life changed.  At the time I thought it had changed for the better but as time went on, it changed for the worse.  But no regrets right?  Here is the deal – I do not regret the decision I made over three years, ago.  I DO regret the decisions that I have made since then.  There are things that I should have and have not done and I do regret it.  I have spent the last year trying to forg(r)et my regrets.  Not an easy task.  As I found myself in this experience this past weekend, I wondered what if, what if not, what if it were.  To be honest, a really good exercise.  I can only hope that my regrets enable me to really think about situations that may be regretable moving into the future. I leave you with this:

Craigslist Ride of the Day – 1977 Toyota Corolla

Posted in Uncategorized on September 11, 2008 by lmdiorio

I think that my Parents had a Corolla right around the time that they got married.  Kind of a neat little car.  With that said, it makes you wonder what your parents did before they had kids.  Did they load up the “Corolla” and head out for picnics or go to the movies?  I guess we’ll never know unless they reminisce.

Sprains and pains

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , on September 9, 2008 by lmdiorio

It has been a while since I’ve posted anything of substance – I apologize.  On Sunday I sprained my ankle again.  Again not meaning the same ankle twice but rather the ankle different from the one I sprained 3 weeks ago.  I did this playing basketball in my regular Sunday night game.

Spraining an ankle, although considered minor is not fun.  The ankle that I sprained 3 weeks ago is still swollen and can hurt if I land on it wrong.  The ankle that I sprained on Sunday is a bit painful, really swollen and bit bruised.  The swelling is so bad that I look like I have a “cankle.” Luckily the doctor gave me some high dosage Motrin and Vicodin.

Now when I play I’m forced to play with ankle braces in addition to the knee braces I already wear.  When I’m getting ready I look like I’m suiting up for a battle.  The question is – how do you take care of things like ankles and knees.  I’m not exactly the lightest person in the world (I’m not a “Great big fat person” though) so I can understand why my knees may hurt from running and the rugby in college.  But how do you prevent sprained ankles?  I already wear high-top sneakers and make sure they are tied nice and snug.  I guess the only solution is a brace.

Oh well, I am taking this week off to recuperate and then I will be back at it.  My hoop dreams may still be alive!

Craigslist Ride of the Day – 1968 MB 280 SL

This car is very close to my heart.  My Uncle purchased a 1969 280 SL for my Grandfather several years ago and I absolutely loved that car.  My Grandfather’s was dark brown with the classic big white steering wheel and he had both tops for it.  I only wish I would have been able to buy it from him before they got rid of it.  Nonetheless – this car is beautiful, classic and maybe one day I will have my own.
